Green and brown cabinet

Interior plants are a good idea, they keep the oxygen clean by reducing carbon dioxide. They act as a natural air conditioner by keeping the air around them cool and are stress relievers.

With all that in mind, I designed a cabinet. Why?.......Aesthetics.

Nuthing into Sumthing

Recently my workload became very minimal, I wanted to do something more with my time than look on trademe.
I drew up some shapes in CAD>threw a perspective view on it>exported it as a .jpeg>Imported it into PS>Went shopping for 3 hours>Came away with this.

Plywood, Paints and a Projector!

The artworks below were a collabo over many beers, bourbons and beats.

 I bought a super old 3M projector for around $45, it even has wood grain sides so I'm guessing it's from the 60's or early 70's, but it goes well and get the job done.

We used packaging crate lids, acrylic and spray paints with a gloss to finish.

 Showcasing our work up in Revel on K'rd in Auckland was a great experience, we got heaps of head nods and interest by like minded individuals....and just in case you were wondering, many pieces are still for sale.

Second hand wall art.

I got into collecting old books from second hand shops a while ago. I would browse through and pick out images which looked as if they deserved a little more praise than to be stuck in a second hand shop.
So I created these picture frames. Most of these books are from the 60's and 70's so the images are all pretty grainy and dated.

Washing Upppp

Washing the dishes doesn't have to be all bad, especially when you make a short video clip about it. Beware of the Lions though, they hate Palmolive. Enjoy.

Revisiting a Marvellous time

As a kid I would buy and trade Marvel cards just to practice drawing the characters . If you're not familiar with Marvel cards, they're like basketball cards but with Marvel characters on them like Spider Man or X-Men. I never really read comics and still don't, however I came across a treasure trove of vintage comics on the net a while back and thought it would be a good idea to bang out a multilayer stencil. Hard work pays off, for real.

I decided to go with this one, It wasn't as old as the others but still good. Multilayer stencil. Spray paint on canvas.

The death of a Smena

Hello, 

Welcome to my blog, glad you could make it.

I'm kicking this blog off with a B+W photo album shot from the doorway of a train on my travels through Thailand and Malaysia. I came across this old Smena 8M on ebay and had to buy it. Sadly after about the 3rd role of film the shutter cock got jammed rendering the camera useless.
